Emergency Services Overview AMHC provides 24-hour crisis intervention services to support residents of Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington Counties via telephone and face-to-face contact. Emergency Services specialists are available to meet with individuals, within the community at a local AMHC office, or may be requested by local medical providers to provide consultation at the local Emergency Room through the hospital. Our goal is to support individuals and their families through a crisis situation or experience, attending to their needs within the least restrictive environment. HELPLine provides telephone counseling and crisis intervention 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Mobile Crisis Stabilization provides crisis intervention, consultation, assessment, brief therapy, and referral through AMHC outpatient offices during the day and at the HELPLine after hours.
