On September 4, 2012, Ruth Osborne was honored with an Individual Recognition award for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Calais Day Treatment Program.  Her award was presented to her by Jami Moreside, Samantha Call, and Clem Deveau.  Ruth received high praise and recognition due to her excellence in mentoring team members in key important functions of the program, notably documentation and program protocols.  She is highly dedicated to ensuring that program materials and documentation tools are always established for each classroom.  Ruth also provides ongoing support to peers and effective team collaboration on a daily basis.  Ruth joined AMHC on July 1, 2009.  Congratulations, Ruth, on your great performance and success with AMHC!

On September 12, 2012, an Individual Recognition award was presented to Jennifer Haney by Adeline McCarty and Christine Brown for Jennifer’s stellar work in leading by example at the Caribou Outpatient Office.  Jennifer received recognition due to her exceptional clinical and administrative skills in the provision of Community Integration and Emergency Services.  She shines in her flexibility to meet customer service needs of the most intense and acute nature.  She has also demonstrated excellence in her Functional Lead role with Outpatient Budget, as well as her consistent ability to be a tremendous support to peers while role-modeling effectiveness and accountability.  Jennifer was hired at AMHC on June 1, 2009.  She is known as a go-getter, a very hard worker and strong advocate for her customers.  You are awesome, Jennifer!  Congratulations!

On September 20, 2012, the Center for Integrated Neuro-Rehabilitation Center (CINR) Team was surprised by a Team Recognition award, presented to them by Christine Brown.  The CINR Team was recognized for their exceptional performance in leading by example at the agency.  They stand out as a team for their superb customer care and interventions for individuals with acquired brain injury.  For several years, they have achieved consistent success with high revenue generation and astute management of program expenses.  Each member exudes passion and compassion, dedication, and innovation in the areas of program design and rehabilitative interventions. The team is mission-driven and creative in their approach to overcoming internal and external barriers to service.  CINR was created over five years ago to attend to unmet needs in the community for brain-injury services.

On October 10th, 2012, April Lapointe was recognized for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Grand Isle Family Treatment facility (GIFT).  Her award was presented to her by Peter McCorison.  April was celebrated for her exceptional flexibility and willingness to extend herself to support additional coverage and duties whenever needed; her quality work in her various Functional Lead roles; her high-quality skills in organization, documentation, and reliability with deadlines, as well as her great work as role model for a positive, proactive outlook and accountability for peers.  April began her employment at AMHC on 9/13/2004 and is to be commended for the tremendous contributions she has made to GIFT program and AMHC.  From all of us:  Congratulations, April!

On October 22, 2012, Cindy Doroen was presented with an Individual Recognition award for her exemplary performance in leading by example within the Community Integration Program.  Cindy is known for her exceptional initiative, creativity, and innovation with the development and strengthening of peer participation and services at the Harvest Inn Social Club, and successful outcome in all Club endeavors.  She has stellar administrative skills and was chosen to undertake the meticulous management of rental subsidy tenant file and subsidy billing duties, and she has been highly flexible to provide additional housing services as needed.  Cindy also has effectively developed partnerships with state-wide peer collaterals to further promote peer service activities and endeavors.  Cindy was hired as the Harvest Inn Social Club Manager on August 8, 2004.  Congratulations, Cindy, on your high achievement at AMHC!

On November 8, 2012, Brahim Bethi was presented with an Individual Recognition award by Peter McCorison for his exceptional performance in leading by example at the Grand Isle Family Treatment Facility (GIFT).  Brahim has provided remarkable clinical work with customers and in the provision of peer consultations.  He has held his Functional Lead roles to very high standards, and has demonstrated extraordinary reliability and dedication to improving service delivery.  Brahim is congenial and role models impeccable professionalism.  On July 7, 2008, Brahim was hired at AMHC as a member of GIFT Team.  He is now continuing his employment in the service of Madawaska Group Home customers.  Congratulations, Brahim, on your accomplishments at GIFT and welcome aboard at the Madawaska Group Home!

On July 5, 2012, the Substitute Staff Resource Team (SSRT) was presented a Team Recognition Award by Charles Collishaw. SSRT received recognition for their exceptional performance in leading by example across the agency. SSRT is composed of very gifted team members. The team was honored for their ability to “tune-in” to the facility milieu at each shift in view of assessing the dynamics in order to ensure consistency with service delivery; their wide range of clinical knowledge, as well as their agility in the application of approaches to effectively meet customer needs. SSRT demonstrates deep commitment and dedication to contributing to teams’ quality services and to promoting teams’ level of morale.  Congratulations, SSRT! Your value to the agency cannot be truly summarized with just a few words!

On July 6th, 2012, Valerie Feldkamp was presented with an Individual Recognition award for her superb performance in leading by example at Ellsworth Outpatient Office. Valerie is celebrated for her ongoing excellence, proficiency and professionalism. During a critical clinical event, Valerie demonstrated her astute skills and effective collaboration which, despite the acute nature of the situation, subsequently resulted in a very high degree of customer satisfaction. She is also appreciated for her kind, nurturing demeanor and ability to effectively support and engage clients through their struggles. Valerie began her employment with AMHC on March 29, 2010. She came to her position of Emergency Services Specialist with years of experience in case management. Valerie is highly knowledgeable of community resources, is very well connected to the professional community. This is an asset for her Functional Lead roles for Referral Satisfaction and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing for Hancock County. Congratulations on your excellent work, Valerie!

On July 6, 2012, Allison Visvader was awarded Individual Recognition for her exceptional performance in leading by example at Ellsworth Outpatient Office around a very critical clinical situation.  Allison provided stellar clinical intervention and thorough documentation throughout the service delivery, and teamed with peers involved to steer through the challenges of the situation. Allison’s work greatly contributed to the high level of customer satisfaction which resulted from the incident. Valerie was hired at AMHC only six months ago, on February 13, 2012, as an Emergency Services Specialist. She is recognized as a very quick learner, has tremendous focus and passion for service to her clients. Allison is new to her involvement with Functional Lead duties for Hiring/Orientations. In addition, she worked collaboratively with other Ellsworth staff on increasing Awareness for Youth Suicide Prevention. Allison, you have made a significant impact in such a short time! On July 11, 2012, Sarah Bell was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Peter McCorison for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Presque Isle Outpatient Office. The team greatly values Sarah for her multiple contributions and attributes: her quick and solution-focused action when emergency situations arise; the way she extends herself to be readily available for extra duties, as well as emergency services coverage; her astute skills and professionalism in working effectively with her Community Integration customers, a number of whom present with the highest level of acuity and complexity in their psychiatric disorders and functional impairments. Sarah is instrumental to enhancing agency quality standards through her involvement in Service Quality Review Committee.  Sarah is also recognized for her keen resourcefulness, respectful approach, and deep empathy. She became an AMHC employee on August 14, 2006, and worked in Children’s Services before joining the Community Integration Program. As one team member expressed: “Sarah is a wonderful mom, has huge life experience for one so young and for that, deserves a free Master’s Degree”. Congratulations, Sarah, on your great recognition and accomplishments!

Wendy Pelkey was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Peter McCorison on July 11, 2012, for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Presque Isle Outpatient Office. Wendy has exemplary willingness and ability to boost team morale and is tireless in her efforts to find new and creative ways to do this.  With her bubbly personality, Wendy is regarded as the team cheerleader. Wendy has amazingly high energy and enthusiasm, excellent skills, and reliability with task completion and follow-through. She is admired for her honesty and transparency, her spontaneity and ability to “read” the needs of others and quickly offer assistance and/or support. Wendy is deeply compassionate and has a heart-centered manner with everyone and everything she undertakes. On November 13, 2007, Wendy began her employment at AMHC as a member of the Administrative Support service at the Presque Isle Outpatient Office. So, if you want a little “pick-me-up”, call on Wendy! On July 13, 2012, Michelle Mitchell was the recipient of an Individual Recognition Award for her exemplary performance in leading by example in the Ellsworth Emergency Services Program. Michelle was celebrated for her outstanding clinical and administrative skills, her highly-thorough evaluation assessments and keen ability to effectively engage customers.  She has made a positive impact in her partnering with collateral agencies around quality customer care. Michelle is a dedicated, responsive co-worker who consistently goes above and beyond to meet service expectations. For these reasons, she has demonstrated that she is a true champion for emergency services. Michelle began her work at AMHC on April 11, 2011. Congratulations, Michelle, on your success in such a short amount of time with the agency!


David Harlan

On July 18, 2012, David Harlan was awarded Individual Recognition by Clem Deveau for his outstanding performance in leading by example at Ellsworth Outpatient site. David is a Therapist/Consultant at Ellsworth Outpatient.  He has a long history of exemplary contributions to AMHC which were celebrated in many forums during his first employment with the agency from 4/1978 to 8/1997. David’s current recognition is to honor him for his superior clinical and administrative work, his innovative ideas with regards to service development and promotion, as well as his stellar abilities to navigate the challenges of a critical situation which lead to very high success with customer satisfaction.  One of David’s strengths is that he is totally solution-focused and he seems truly happiest when he has a big problem staring him in the face. He doesn’t blink and his “I’ve got an idea a minute” mind kicks into gear. David joined AMHC again on April 26, 2010.  He is currently Team Leader at Ellsworth Outpatient and Functional Lead for Safety and the Waitlist. Congratulations, David!  You are one of a kind!

On July 18, 2012, Cathy Sawtelle was presented with an Individual Recognition award by Tony Bennett for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Calais Children’s Residential Program. Cathy received accolades for her excellent leadership and immense efforts to prepare for the site Licensing Review visit. As a result of Cathy’s diligence and attention to detail, the Licensing Visit was a huge success. Cathy is known for her high energy, enthusiasm, and great clinical skills. She deeply cares about her team members, and her hard work to assist with Licensing Review preparations is an example of how she readily goes above and beyond the call of duty. Cathy became an employee of AMHC on July 1, 2009, and had previous years of experience as a Senior Staff with WCPA. Cathy is currently Team Leader at Calais Residential and has been involved in the rewriting of the children’s residential policies and procedures manual for the agency. Congratulations on your success, Cathy!

On July 18, 2012, Deb O’Neill received an Individual Recognition award, presented to her by Tony Bennett, for her superb performance in leading by example at Calais Children’s Residential Program. Deb worked tirelessly in the weeks preceding the Licensing Review visit to ensure that all of the clinical files were in order for review.  Deb is recognized for her astute clinical and administrative skills, her high ethical standards, and her meticulous approach to everything she undertakes. Previous to her hire at AMHC on July 1, 2009, Deb held a key role at the Residential program since the year 2000 when the doors opened under WCPA and brought with her to AMHC a wealth of knowledge, information, and program history. She currently holds the position of Day Treatment Coordinator and has been in the roles of Applied Behavioral Analysis Functional Lead and Scheduling Functional Lead. Deb is currently also a trained and active HPT coach and has been part of a Peer Collaboration team. Despite all her various duties and activities, Deb keeps her cool and readily gives a smile.  Awesome work, Deb! Congratulations!

Patty Stevens was surprised with an Individual Recognition award on July 18, 2012, presented by Tony Bennett. Patty was awarded recognition for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Calais Children’s Residential Program. She was instrumental in ensuring that all of the clinical records at Calais Children’s Residential were in impeccable shape for review by State Licensing reviewers. Patty applied her determination and put forth tremendous effort and scrutiny during the weeks leading up to the Licensing Visit, which led to a smooth visit and successful outcome.  Patty has years of rich experience in the field in various agencies such as Catholic Charities, Muskie School, Department of Correction Juvenile Probation, and Addison Point Agency.  She was hired at AMHC on July 1, 2009, having been already part of WCPA since 2007 and currently holds the position of Case Manager at Calais Residential. Patty, we are lucky to have you at AMHC!

On July 23, 2012, Dave Letourneau was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Christine Brown. Dave was celebrated for his outstanding performance in leading by example at the Center for Integrated Neuro-Rehabilitation (CINR) in Caribou, by way of his effectiveness in activities related to program enhancement, as well as promotion in the community. Dave is also highly regarded for his serious dedication to customers and his willingness to increase his role functions in support of the teams’ work.  In addition, Dave is appreciated for his kind heart, impeccable professionalism, and congenial nature. Dave is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist, with excellent experience in the area of rehabilitation. He joined AMHC on June 27, 2007, and has been with CINR since the facility’s opening five years ago. Dave is an avid hunter and outdoorsman, and the team loves to tease him about being a “predator” of bear. Congratulations, Dave!

On August 6, 2012, the Skyhaven Residential team received a Team Recognition award for their outstanding performance in leading by example at the agency. The team was celebrated for their exceptional ability to manage the unexpected and extreme gaps in service coverage they faced over a number of months, resulting in a seamless provision of service. They rallied with a solution-focused and effective approach to shift duties and caseload distribution.  Skyhaven team was also recognized for their tremendous efforts and excellence in assisting residents to advance in their recovery and achieve integration into the setting of their choice.  Over the past year, several residents at Skyhaven were successful in achieving their goal of independent living in the community.  Skyhaven Residential facility has been an AMHC service for over 32 years.  Skyhaven team is extremely dedicated to rehabilitative treatment, and they continuously strive to improve the quality of their services. And Oliver the cat, who has been a four-legged team member for about 17 years, does his part, too. Congratulations on your excellence, Skyhaven Team!

On August 8th, 2012, Wendy Page was presented with an Individual Recognition award by Jennifer Crandall for her exceptional performance in leading by example around Sexual Assault Services at the agency. Wendy received her recognition award on the first anniversary of her employment at AMHC, as she was hired on August 8, 2011, in the role of Sexual Assault Services Public Relations Advocate. Wendy is known for her highly passionate and vibrant approach to service delivery and team collaboration. She excels in her skills and professionalism with her advocacy and public education duties, as well as her customer engagement and interventions. She is tremendously flexible and responsive in attending to all urgent needs. Her soft-spoken, sensitive, grounded demeanor and her strength as an advocate, all add to her effectiveness with engaging customers to open up, trust, and take steps to activate legal processes and/or begin their healing. She is also recognized as being organized, articulate, and a “bright light” at the Presque Isle Outpatient Office where her position is based.  Congratulations, Wendy, on your high achievement over this first year with AMHC!

On June 5, 2012, Sue Howland was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Lisa Tirrell and Clem Deveau.  Sue was recognized for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Calais Day Treatment program. Sue brings to the program a wealth of knowledge and excellent clinical skills.  She has demonstrated great dedication in her lead position with Classroom #2, and has been instrumental to enhancing the quality of service delivery.  Her team members value her for her great support, empathy, compassion, as well as her positive approach to all of her duties.  Sue joined AMHC on September 20, 2010, and is a Behavioral Health Professional.  Sue is very active outside of work and recently completed a Climb for Cure fundraising event.   Awesome work, Sue!  Congratulations!

On June 5, 2012, Clem Deveau and Lisa Tirrell surprised Tricia Farrell with an Individual Recognition Award, due to Tricia’s outstanding performance in leading by example at the Calais Day Treatment Program.  Tricia became part of AMHC on July 1, 2009, and is a Behavioral Health Professional. Tricia’s success in her lead role with Classroom #4 can be seen through her great clinical knowledge and skills, her high energy and resourcefulness, her deep commitment to communication between the Calais Day Treatment and Calais Residential Programs and her strong investment in -- and positive influence on – team work.  Tricia is a fan of the outdoors and recently participated in and completed a Climb for Cure fundraising event. Troy Lee received an Individual Recognition Award on June 5, 2012, presented by Lisa Tirrell and Clem Deveau for his excellence in leading by example at both the Calais Day Treatment and Calais Residential Programs.  He fills the roles of Behavioral Health Professional and Other Qualified Mental Health Professional.  Troy stands out for his ability to flexibly manage these different roles between the two programs with dedication, ease, agility, and the willingness to go above and beyond to meet coverage needs.  Troy is greatly appreciated for his gentle, congenial demeanor at all times, which has been conducive to positive team dynamics.  Troy began employment with AMHC on July 1, 2009. Troy is a student at University of Maine at Machias and recently made Dean’s List.    Super work, Troy!   Congratulations!

On June 6, 2012, Anna Hunt was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Peter McCorison for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Presque Outpatient Office.  Anna is a therapist who joined AMHC on September 26, 2011, and has made a huge positive impact in the relatively short amount of time with the agency.  Anna is celebrated for her stellar work ethics and dedication to quality care, her skillful approach to difficulties and challenges, her willingness to take on new functions and tasks in support of the team, as well as her great sense of humor, equanimity, and gentle strength. Anna most recently moved to Houlton where she is now a member of the Houlton Outpatient Team in the role of Emergency Service Specialist.  Also, Anna is known to be quite a gardener!  Congratulations, Anna, on your accomplishments thus far with AMHC!

On June 6th, 2012, Ellsworth Team came together to present an Individual Recognition Award to Linda Collins, for her exemplary performance in leading by example at the Ellsworth Outpatient Office where she was an AMHC employee since July 1, 2009. Linda was honored for her exceptional energy, total conscientiousness in all areas of her work, her passion for being of service to both clients and co-workers alike, her tireless efforts to continue her professional growth and improvement, as well as her high success in consistently meeting performance targets in productivity and quality of work.  The indomitable courage and enthusiasm Linda consistently role-modeled for others never waned, even in the face of a ravaging illness.  She was an inspiration and a beacon of light for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

On June 6, 2012, Linda Stevens received an Individual Recognition Award presented by Clem Deveau.   Linda was recognized for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Calais Residential Program. Linda demonstrates excellence with planning and organization and is highly creative in her work with residents. As shift leader, she has a keen ability to role-model and mentor effective communication and conflict resolution, adherence to protocols, as well as overall professionalism.  Linda has the team’s admiration for her ability to retain a calm demeanor in the face of crises, and foster a warm and welcoming work environment.   She has been with AMHC since July 1, 2009, as a Calais Residential Counselor.  Congratulations, Linda, for being such a wonderful asset to the team!

Vicki Mason was presented with an Individual Recognition Award by Clem Deveau on June 6, 2012.  She received recognition for her outstanding performance in leading by example at the Calais Residential Program. Vicki has great flexibility and willingness to step in and cover extra shifts whenever needed, demonstrates excellence with role-modeling adherence to protocols and procedures.  She is highly dedicated to the assistance and support of her team members and is appreciated for her ongoing hard work and diligence with all of her duties.  Vicki has been with AMHC almost three years, as she was hired by AMHC on July 1, 2009, as a Residential Counselor.

On June 13, 2012, Brittany Haines received an Individual Recognition Award, presented by Jamie Owens for her exceptional performance in leading by example at the agency.  Brittany has been stellar in the provision of emergency evaluations and crisis stabilization at both Presque Isle and Caribou Outpatient sites during a time of staff shortage.  She has demonstrated tremendous willingness, flexibility and ability to meet the coverage needs with distinction.  In addition to extending the scope of her service delivery areas, Brittany has also made excellent contributions to Marketing Outreach Workgroup, as well as admirably representing AMHC in a televised presentation about suicide.  Brittany was hired on September 28, 2008.  Besides her committed service to individual and community safety, Brittany is a certified massage therapist. Congratulations, Brittany, on your fantastic work!

On June 21, 2012, John Lozier received an Individual Recognition Award presented by Anne Daigle and Christine Brown.  John was recognized for his outstanding performance in leading by example at Madawaska Group Home. Deadra Schlicher received and Individual Recognition award on April 12, 2012, for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Grand Isle Family Treatment Home.  Deadra demonstrates excellent leadership skills, is recognized as a very hard worker who is meticulous with task completion and physical plant oversight.  She never hesitates to assist with coverage and is a wonderful role model and mentor when it comes to professionalism.  She values her co-workers and puts significant time and energy into promoting their accomplishments and fostering team morale. On April 11, 2012, Jennifer Bloomgren was presented with an Individual Recognition award for her exceptional performance in leading by example in her duties as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.  Jennifer has an amazing ability to convey warmth and empathy with her clients, in addition to providing excellent psychiatric assessments and medication management.  She is outstanding in her clinical consultations and reviews, and shares her expertise readily.  She splits time between the Caribou Outpatient and Presque Isle Outpatient Offices and is highly appreciated by both teams for her collaboration and investment in team members’ growth.  Jennifer also travels to Madawaska Group Home to provide regular record review of treatment services.  On January 5, 2009, Jennifer began her employment at AMHC.   Congratulations, Jennifer, on your high success at AMHC!

On April 11, 2012, Lori Kilcollins was presented with an Individual Recognition award for her exemplary performance in leading by example at the Presque Isle Outpatient Office and in multiple other ways at the agency.  Lori has superb skills and abilities and applies them to not only to her clinical work in a variety of settings, but also in her functions as HPT coach and trainer.  She was also recognized for her outstanding support and assistance to team members, her consistent demonstration of flexibility and equanimity under the most trying circumstances, as well as her upbeat, enthusiastic attitude, and generous, caring manner.  Lori has been with AMHC since August 27, 1998, and has held several positions.  She has taken advantage of every opportunity to excel in each one which is why Lori was also the recipient of the Vickers Award for Excellence at AMHC Annual Dinner last October 2011.  Lori, You REALLY Rock!!   Congratulations on your fantastic performance and ongoing success at AMHC!

Michele Fitzpatrick was the recipient of an Individual Recognition award on May 2, 2012 for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Houlton Outpatient Office.  Michele stands out for her team because of her stellar skills and abilities with all her duties and responsibilities in the provision of administrative support services, as well as her precision in her Functional Lead role with ClaimTrak.  She is also an asset to the team because of her consistent use of effective communication, which fosters collaboration and team work.  While Michele is very no-nonsense about her and team’s work, she has a wonderful sense of humor and approachable demeanor, and brings a good balance to team dynamics.  AMHC was lucky to have Michele join the agency on May 3, 2010.  Michele, congratulations your recognition for being such an asset to the team and agency!

On March 7th, 2012, Scott McMichael received an Individual Recognition award, presented by Annie Beckham.   Scott was recognized for leading by example by going above and beyond in his collaboration with the Atlantic Emergency Services team.  Scott was instrumental to the successful outcome of a very lethal situation through his outstanding skills with engaging customer responsiveness around needed intervention, and taking all action needed to ensure individual and community safety.  On August 2, 2010, Scott joined AMHC in the role of Substance Abuse counselor.

Paula has been with AMHC since April 5, 1993. She has provided service in a variety of positions at Houlton Outpatient:  Emergency Services, Community Integration, and in more recent years with Children and Family services, currently Home Community Treatment (HCT).  Congratulations, Paula on your recognition for the quality of work and service you provide!

On February 8th, 2012, Jim received an individual for his outstanding performance in leading by example at the Calais Residential Program.  He was celebrated for his stellar creativity and skills with IT activities that enhance the quality of residential service delivery, his tremendous dedication and dependability, his ability to consistently role model a caring, positive attitude and overall professionalism, as well as his effective problem-solving on a daily basis.  Jim joined AMHC on July 1, 2009.  Outside of his work activities, Jim loves to spend time caring for his dogs and horse, and channels some of his creativity through drawing.  You are awesome, Jim.  Congratulations!

On February 23, 2012, an individual recognition award was given to Marianne for her superb performance in leading by example at Grand Isle Family Treatment Facility.  Marianne became part of AMHC on September 4, 2002.  She is praised for her skillful contributions in the areas of overnight duties, billing, documentation, and census functions.  She does great work in her Functional Lead role for admission applications and customer satisfaction.  Marianne frequently volunteers, demonstrates a positive attitude always and she holds herself – as well as team members – to high performance standards.  Marianne is an avid reader of non-fiction books, and enjoys time with her family, friends, pet dogs, and also loves shopping. Kudos, Marianne! Keep up the great work!

Steve was commended for his exceptional performance in leading by example at the HELPLine/ACSU in Presque Isle. An individual recognition award was presented to him on February 24, 2012.  Some of the reasons for his recognition are:  providing high-quality emergency assessments; his amazing ability to engage customers in crisis; his keen skills with documentation and all of the administrative tasks associated with crisis, as well as the eagerness with which he extends himself to fill coverage needs.  Steve does great work as Functional Lead for the team budget. Steve began his career with AMHC in September 1, 2010. Steve is a recent graduate of NMCC with a degree in drafting.  He loves basketball and teaches marital arts. Congratulations, Steve!   Well deserved!

On February 28th, 2012, Jennifer was given an individual recognition award for her exemplary performance in leading by example at Presque Isle Outpatient Office.  Jennifer is a highly astute clinician and demonstrates excellence with all duties related to her clinical work.  She is tremendously generous and readily gives her time, attention, and support to her co-workers to assist them with whatever need arises.  She is the ultimate team “cheerleader”, and she promotes team morale through her congenial, optimistic, and grounded demeanor.  Jennifer recently became Team Leader and is now having more opportunities to role-model her excellence. Jennifer joined AMHC on June 1, 2010.  Jennifer revels in her very tight-knit family.  She is a dedicated mom to two young daughters and says that if she could, she would take a trip around the world with “lots of relaxation”…. On January 4, 2012, an Individual Recognition Award was presented to Shelley for her fantastic work in leading by example at Calais Residential facility.  Shelly was recognized for a number of reasons:  her great contribution to the Peer collaboration group for the improvement of team dynamics; her creativity with implementing systems to ensure accuracy with documentation and medication management and her leadership in using her organizational skills to assist team members with follow-through on shift duties and responsibilities.  On 7/1/2009, Shelly joined AMHC as a Residential Counselor at Calais facility.   Word is that Shelly has a pool where she loves to spend her summer days.   Nice….  I bet you will be very popular this summer, Shelley. On January 20th, 2012, Pam Wyman was presented with an Individual Recognition award for her exemplary performance in leading by example for Central Office and across the agency.  Pam has a longstanding pattern of demonstrating amazing skills and abilities in the design and implementation of data systems and tracking tools to support specialized services.  She has undertaken numerous agency project initiatives with success and has been instrumental as an agency trainer and mentor during roll out of new systems, such as iCentrix, to name one of several more recently.  Pam has been highly proficient in stepping in under short notice to fulfill ad hoc administrative functions and is often “tapped into” because of her versatility, flexibility, and precision in everything she does.  Pam came to AMHC on 9/13/2004 in the position of Project Specialist and completed her BA in Business Management with a concentration in Management Information Systems in 2005.  On a personal note, Pam is a gifted quilter, produces beautiful work in a variety of other crafts and loves playing golf.  Awesome work, Pam!   Congratulations!


ANDREA CHASSE

On January 26, 2012, Andrea received an Individual Recognition Award for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Grand Isle Family Treatment Facility.  Andrea is recognized for her major accomplishments and success in all the services she provides to individuals and families.  She is dedicated to quality care and puts forth tremendous effort to constantly seek methods to enhance and improve upon service delivery.  She role-models professionalism and has totally extended herself in every way possible to meet HCT coverage needs in a variety of communities in collaboration with other agency teams. Outside of work, Andrea is loves music and movement (think Zumba!) and is a highly talented lady when it comes to arts and crafts.    Congratulations, Andrea, on your award!   You rock!!


STACIE MURPHY

Stacie was recognized with an Individual Recognition Award on January 26, 2012 because of her exceptional performance in leading by example in her role of Therapist-Consultant at Grand Isle Family Treatment Facility (GIFT).  Stacie is celebrated by her team members for her excellence in the provision of clinical and consultation services.  She is also outstanding in the areas of outreach, advocacy and education around the program’s mission.  Stacie demonstrates tremendous flexibility and willingness to meet the needs of individual team members – and entire team – as needed,  and she is a terrific role model, not only in her work at GIFT, but also in her HPT coaching activities through which a number of teams have benefitted from her skills as a coach.  Stacie’s career at AMHC has unfolded since her hire on 11/6/1995, where she started as a Residential Counselor at Madawaska Group Home, then worked as a Community Integration Counselor in St. John Valley Offices.  She went on to be Emergency Services Specialist in the Valley and then in 2000 was hired for a position at GIFT where she had since studied for her Masters in Social Work and obtained her LCSW.  In her “off” time, Stacie enjoys time trying out new recipes and when weather is good, riding motorcycle.  Congratulations, Stacie, on your lengthy success at AMHC!

DINAH TUNGOL

On December 14, 2011 Dr. Dinah Tungol was presented with an Individual Recognition award for leading by example in all of her duties and roles at AMHC. Dr. Tungol is absolutely stellar in her contributions in the delivery of high-quality clinical, administrative, and consultative services to customers, co-workers, and collaterals.  She is known and widely-recognized for her generosity, empathy, passion, and compassion in all aspects of her work and her total commitment to service.  Dr. Tungol is Medical Director at AMHC and collaborates directly with SLT.  She is based out of Presque Isle Outpatient Office and provides evaluations and medication management in both Presque Isle OP and Caribou OP.   Dr. Tungol joined AMHC in January 1996. She is a very strong advocate and role-model for wellness and is active in the promotion of AMHC’s current endeavors related to plant-based nutrition.  Dr. Tungol is a ray of sunshine and spreads warmth, humor, and goodwill wherever she is.  Rumor is that she loves karaoke.  She is also considered to be the queen of fashion.  You are awesome, Dr. Tungol.  Congratulations on your award!

LIZ SAYRE

On December 14, 2011, Liz Sayre was awarded Individual Recognition for her outstanding performance in leading by example in her work as Emergency Services Specialist in the Machias Office.  She demonstrates excellence in her skills with Helpline and Mobile Crisis services and has an amazing ability to maintain a positive, proactive attitude and approach in the most difficult of situations, as well as to extend herself to provide extra coverage and other types of support to her co-workers in both Washington and Hancock counties.  She is a creative thinker and always solution-focused.  Liz was hired with AMHC on January 24, 2011.  When she joined us, she brought to the agency tremendous experience in the crisis computerized program TIER through her previous years with WCPA.    She’s “Liz the Whiz” when it comes to computers.  Liz enjoys travel and the outdoors, and also is quite the connoisseur when it comes to food and chocolate.

JESSICA CHASSE

Jessica Chasse was presented with an Individual Recognition award on December 15, 2011.  She was recognized for her exceptional performance in leading by example in all that she undertakes at Grand Isle Treatment Facility (GIFT).  Jessica is celebrated by her team members for her mastery of clinical and administrative responsibilities, for her flexibility and adaptability, as well as her willingness to volunteer for additional tasks whenever needed.  When Jessica was hired on August 12, 2000, as case manager, she was one of the first employees to work at GIFT (formerly Bridge Home) and, therefore, has contributed to the growth and success of the program over the past 11 years.  She is highly regarded for her passion for learning and total dedication to serving children. She was Team Leader for two years and currently works closely with the school and is functional lead for the schedule at GIFT.  Jessica loves travel and in her spare time also enjoys scrapbooking, listening to books on tape, and “hitting” the stores.  Kudos, Jessica, on your recognition and years of success with us!

On December 21, 2011, Rick Devoe was the recipient of an Individual Recognition award for his excellence in leading by example at Calais Residential Program.  Rick was hired on July 1, 2009 as a residential counselor and came to AMHC with years of experience in the work he provides.  He stands out for his team in his ability to demonstrate great sensitivity for the well-being of customers and co-workers, the excellent quality of work that he consistently provides, as well as his outstanding skills in crisis management.  Team members know that they can rely on him to remain calm in dire circumstances, which is instrumental for the safety of all.  Outside of his residential work, Rick is a fan of the outdoors.  He loves to spend quality time at camp and fishing is his passion.  Super work, Rick!  Congratulations on your award!

Ross McPherson was presented an Individual Recognition award on December 21, 2011.  Ross was recognized for his excellent performance in leading by example in the areas of customer service, team work and crisis management.   He is viewed as a role model for his dedication to quality service and hard work, as well as the expertise that he brings to his duties as residential counselor at Calais Residential Program.  Team members look up to Ross for his ability to manage crisis situations exceptionally well.  Ross joined AMHC on July 1, 2009 with extensive experience at Calais Residential Program. Ross loves being out in nature, spending time at camp and discovering the best areas to fish (don’t tell Rick!).  Ross, great work!  Congratulations on your recognition!

On November 2, 2011, Sandy received an individual recognition award for her exceptional performance in leading by example at Calais Residential facility due to her extraordinary creativity and astute planning as residential cook, which has resulted in significant cost savings for the program.  Sandy enhances a positive team environment by going above and beyond to foster team celebrations.  She produces high-quality meals and consistently contributes to the smooth communication between the kitchen and team members.   Sandy has been employed by AMHC since July 1st 2009.    Her specialty is cake decorating, but she is highly gifted in general when it comes to making baked goods and special treats for the children (and staff) at Calais Residential.  By the way, Sandy, it’s almost Christmas (hint, hint)…    Congratulations, Sandy!  Your recognition is “sweet”!

On November 2, 2011, Annette presented Georgia with an individual recognition award at Calais Residential facility for her stellar performance in leading by example.  Georgia has been with AMHC since July 1, 2009.   She has an amazing willingness to undertake any duty or task needed, and does so with a very positive, “can-do” attitude.  She excels in her functional lead roles of Customer Satisfaction and Team Morale and is highly successful with activity planning, work related to family visitations at the facility as well as her co-facilitation of groups.  She is also held in high esteem by peers for her overall enthusiasm, team spirit and positive influence on all.   She has a great ability to “catch people doing things right” and promoting the strengths of her team members.  Georgia is devoted to her family and prioritizes quality time with her loved ones and two dogs Daisy and McGuire.   Kudos, Georgia, on your excellence in everything you do!

Ann was presented with an individual recognition award on November 3, 2011 for her great performance in leading by example at Madawaska Group Home.    All those who know and work with Ann understand the reasons.  She has tremendous enthusiasm and sees the positive in everything.  She consistently makes herself available to lend assistance, take on extra coverage at very short notice and completes her regular duties to perfection.  She is deeply respectful, has endless compassion and consistently role-models placing the well-being of Madawaska Group Home residents above all else.   Ann joined AMHC in April 2004.   You will always see a smile on her face and when she is out and about in her community, she takes time to converse with everyone she meets.    If you want to see that smile get even bigger, offer her a bag (preferably large) of M & Ms.

TORI MOOREFIELD

On November 9, 2011, Tori was surprised with an individual recognitions award for her wonderful performance in leading by example as administrative support at Presque Isle Outpatient Office.   Tori does a superb job in her multiple Functional Lead roles for IT, APS and ClaimTrak,  in addition to a vast array of administrative duties with which team members describe her as “awesome”.  She is always helpful, gives of herself readily to help a co-worker be successful, and makes accommodations to adjust to unpredictable changes that occur or to lend a helping hand.  She is excellent in remaining calm in crisis situations and making all those who approach her feel welcome due to her gentle and giving demeanor.  Team members say “we love Tori for all she is and does”.  At the center of Tori’s world are her husband, Chad, and two beautiful daughters.  Tori has been with AMHC since February 2006. 
We salute you, Tori!    You ROCK!!! 

MONIQUE ROY

On November 10, 2011, Peter McCorison presented Monique with an individual recognition award for her outstanding performance in leading by example at Grand Isle Family Treatment facility.    Monique demonstrates phenomenal abilities in her Home and Community Treatment work (HCT) which is an intricate part of the clinical model at GIFT and is the lead for this work.  She is a real motor for the team through her keen motivation and creativity.   She is very astute in her clinical approaches and as well as highly skilled and productive in her Functional Lead roles and daily duties.  Monique began her employment with AMHC in May 2008.  Outside of work, she is known to be a very “crafty lady” (think knitting, sewing and cooking), loves Tim Horton’s, and she can tell you all about the latest inventory and great deals at Marden’s.

On November 10, 2011, Tracey received an individual recognition award presented by Peter McCorison.   Tracey leads by example for the team at Grand Isle Family Treatment facility by her outstanding work as a residential counselor.   Tracey is often the clinical and administrative mentor to new staff.  She is celebrated for her tremendous efforts and high productivity in all areas of her functional duties and for being a role model for professional integrity.  She is a hard worker, dependable, flexible and will go out of her way to help with coverage, and the support of in-home service delivery.  Tracey is also appreciated by her team members for her dedication to professional growth, in that she is “go getter”, always challenging herself to learn new skills and take on new tasks and roles at GIFT.    Also, don’t ever try to “pull one over” on Tracey because nothing ever sneaks past her.  Tracey has been with AMHC since November 2006. Outside of work, Tracey is family-oriented:  she is a partner in her husband’s professional photography company and loves spending time with him and their two children.
