AMHC is currently accepting applications from people interested in working part-time (24 hours per week) or per diem as a Children's Crisis Counselor at the Children's Crisis Unit in Fort Fairfield.
Primary focus will be to assist children who are in crisis by developing individual treatment plans, supportive counseling, development and utilization of coping skills. The Children's Crisis Counselor will be working in a cooperative and collaborative manner with other service providers in coordinating treatment and services for children in crisis as well as maintaining client records, attending scheduled staff meetings, and being compliant with the requirements of mandated state regulations. This is a residential setting requiring individuals to work flexible shifts to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a human services related field is preferred but will also consider applicant's with an Associate's degree.
