AMHC Announces Kennard Brown as CFO


AMHC is pleased to announce the appointment of Kennard Brown as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this role, Brown will lead the organization’s financial and administrative operations, bringing strong leadership and deep expertise to the central office team.

 

“Kennard brings a great deal of financial and administrative experience to this role,” said AMHC CEO Christy Daggett. “We are very pleased to have him join the AMHC team.”

 

Brown joins AMHC with nearly a decade of progressive leadership experience at Career Systems Development Corporation/Loring Job Corps. Since 2017, he has served in multiple positions with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance and Administration, overseeing a wide range of departments, including finance, purchasing, warehouse operations, food services, information technology, and facilities management. In addition to his professional work, Brown shares his knowledge with students as an Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

 

Kennard’s academic background reflects a strong commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Maine at Fort Kent (2015), a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (2017), and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono (2022).

 

Kennard currently resides in Caribou with his family and looks forward to supporting AMHC’s mission and continued growth across the region.

AMHC’s Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU) serves as a lighthouse for adults in behavioral health crisis, offering 24/7, short-term, voluntary support in a safe setting. Through therapy, staff guidance, and skill building, individuals regain stability, strengthen coping skills, and prepare to return home with a plan.
