Bobbie Chasse Promoted to Director of Children’s Services
AMHC is excited to announce the promotion of Bobbie Chasse to Program Director for Children's Services. She will oversee all of AMHC's children's behavioral health services throughout Aroostook, Hancock, and Washington counties. These services include case management, home and community treatment, and family visitation services. Chasse has over 20 years of experience serving children and families across Aroostook County, and the agency is excited to see her in this new role.
Bobbie says, "I'm excited to step into the role of Program Director for Children's Services here at AMHC. I'm looking forward to continuing to work alongside our children's providers to support youth and families across Aroostook, Washington, and Hancock counties. This work really matters to me. Helping children grow, build resilience, and thrive isn't just what I do; it's what I care deeply about. I'm grateful to be part of supporting healthier futures in our communities."
Bobbie is succeeding Clem Deveau in the position after a restructuring of the role to focus on children's services. Deveau, who served as Program Director of Behavioral Health & Integration in Hancock and Washington counties, has been with the agency since the late 1980s and will be retiring.
Program Director of Adult and Recovery Services and Bobbie's long-time collaborator, Julia Macek, says, "Bobbie routinely goes above and beyond to address the complex needs of those served, exercising sound judgment and persistence in identifying appropriate supports and solutions. Her work is guided by strong ethical principles that inform her decision-making and professional conduct. She approaches her responsibilities with integrity, kindness, and purpose, fostering trust and respect across all levels of the organization. Additionally, Bobbie's commitment extends beyond AMHC through her effective collaboration with community and state partners, contributing to stronger systems of care and improved outcomes for children and families."
Bobbie started as a Residential Counselor at AMHC's Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit in Presque Isle. After earning her degree, she began working with children and families as a case manager. Since 2019, she has served as the Children's Program Manager at AMHC's Caribou Outpatient office. She serves as a Board Member for ACAP and as the Vice Chair of the Aroostook County Collaborative. Bobbie graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a Bachelor of Social Work.
