Kelly O’Laughlin Joins AMHC Ellsworth Outpatient Office
Kelly O’Laughlin, LMSW-CC, has joined AMHC as a Therapist/Consultant in the Ellsworth Outpatient Office. She will deliver co-occurring mental health and substance use services, along with couples and family therapy, through both in-person and telehealth appointments across Hancock and Washington counties.
Strong Foundation in Care and Collaboration
Kelly’s work will strengthen AMHC’s efforts to meet the diverse needs of individuals and families in Hancock and Washington counties. She will provide therapy that addresses mental health concerns, co-occurring substance use recovery and helps couples and families improve communication and strengthen relationships. Her training in child development, social-emotional learning, and client-centered therapy is especially valuable in guiding children and families through life transitions, building resilience, and developing healthy coping strategies.
As part of the Ellsworth team, Kelly will collaborate with other AMHC clinicians to connect clients with the organization’s broad range of behavioral health services. This includes everything from counseling and crisis support to care coordination and community-based programs. Through these connections, clients receive personalized, whole-person care designed to address their unique needs.
Experience and Community Commitment
Kelly earned her Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies from Assumption College in Worcester, MA, with a concentration in working with children and families in a community setting. She is certified in multiple evidence-based therapies and has hands-on experience in case management and school-based support. Most recently, she served as a licensed social worker at Sheppard Pratt School at Severn River Middle School in Maryland.
“Kelly comes to AMHC with a strong background in child development, social emotional learning, client-centered therapy, and case management,” said Christy Daggett, AMHC CEO. “She is certified in several evidence-based therapies and is a great asset to the Ellsworth team.”
Reflecting on her new role, Kelly shared, “I am excited to join the team at the AMHC Ellsworth Outpatient Office and be part of the community here. Hancock County is beautiful, and I look forward to experiencing all that it has to offer and supporting the individuals and families seeking behavioral health services.”
